It can be very difficult in our hurried world to find quiet time, let alone time to develop and grow into the best version of ourselves.  Sometimes we find ourselves on fast-forward without ever stopping or "checking in."  This can lead to a disturbance in our sense of self, which can feel like sadness, anxiety or a lack of feeling joy in our life.   It can effect our relationships with our loved ones and create even more stress and tension.  Often times if untreated it can also become a physical ailment in our bodies like an injury, muscle strain, or chronic illness.

Our mission

At Every Fitt, we want to meet you at your starting point, develop an achievable plan, and partner with you on your journey to wellness. This partnership will encourage you and help you become the best version of yourself while accomplishing your goals.

FAQS about Kim anD Counseling

Why should I work with Kim when there are so many other therapists out there?

  • Kim is a LISW-S which is the highest designation licensure level of social workers. This means that she is able to practice independently with also a supervisory designation. There are many therapists in the Columbus area but many do not have the LISW-S designation.

  • Kim has completed several specialized trainings that help her clients reach their greatest potential, (Gottman Level 3 Trained, EMDR Certified, IFS trained, DBT trained, Affair Recovery Trained, etc.). Also Kim is always learning and sharing new information that might help her clients.

  • Kim has a unique humanistic philosophy of non-judgement and joining with you to reach your goals.

Why doesn’t Kim have comments or reviews on her website?

  • Kim wishes she could have comments from her clients on the website. However, the social work board of ethics doesn’t allow therapists to ask for reviews or post reviews even if submitted by clients.

Why doesn’t Kim offer 15-30 minute free consultations?

  • Kim is very dedicated to helping others. In the last several years many therapists have had several week waitlists. Although Kim would like to offer free consultations, when she has a waitlist she spends her time with clients in session to minimize as much as possible the waitlist times. If you have questions about counseling, Kim is happy and able to respond to brief email questions.

Why does my insurance say couples counseling is covered but Kim says it might not be?

  • Insurance may state that they cover couples sessions when you call, but often rejects the claim once submitted. For insurance to cover a session there must be an identified client with a diagnosis that insurance determines suitable for payment and with a treatment plan that insurance thinks will be effective for the diagnosis. In couples counseling, the “couple” is the client which can not have an individual diagnosis. If you want to see if your insurance covers couples counseling we can discuss trying to submit a claim for one of the 45-53 minute sessions during our first visit.
